A quick google returns me some good readings regarding conflicts between prototype (which scriptaculous based upon) and jQuery.
The next google entry tells me about a way to resolve the conflict. It seems the only way to resolve the conflict between advertlets and my jQuery template is to follow david's recommendation to modify function names.
Will update when I try this out.
